A medium sized parrot, the Umbrella Cockatoo is also known as the White Cockatoo. Their crest is white and the undersides of their wings and tail have a pale yellow colour.

Diet consists of berries, seeds, nuts, fruit, roots, insects, larvae.

Like all parrots, cockatoos have zygodactyl feet, allowing them to climb and grasp objects. They nest in large communal groups in the tops of trees. When faced with habitat loss, they can adapt somewhat to plantations and agricultural land.
